cricscore: a free cricket scoring app for every club in India

Score ball by ball, run a whole tournament and share a live scorecard, all from a phone browser. No ads, no paid tier.

The problem

Local cricket is played seriously and recorded badly

Paper scorebooks get wet, torn or lost. Totals are argued over at the end of the innings, and nobody can say how many runs they scored last season.

Tournament organisers rebuild the points table by hand after every match, and parents waiting at home get updates only when someone remembers to message the group.

What cricscore does

One app from the toss to the season awards

  • Score

One tap per delivery on a keypad sized for thumbs. Undo any ball, even one from an earlier over.

  • Organise

Set up a match in a few taps. Squads and the playing XI are saved, so next Sunday starts where this one ended.

  • Compete

Run a league or knockout with generated fixtures, a points table that works out NRR from the scorecards, and season awards.

  • Auction

Hold a live player auction for your league. Captains bid from their phones while the purse and timer show on the big screen.

  • Share a live link

Every match gets a public scorecard that opens in any browser. Family and teammates can follow without an app or login.

  • Offline scoring, custom rules, career stats, wagon wheels and more are covered in detail on the cricscore website.

FAQ

Questions about cricscore

Is cricscore really free?

Yes. Every feature in cricscore is free, including scoring, stats, squads and tournaments. There is no paid tier, no per-team charge and no advertising.

Do I need to download an app?

No. cricscore runs in the web browser on your phone or computer. Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon, but they are not in the app stores yet.

Can people follow a match without an account?

Yes. Each match gets a public live scorecard link that opens in any browser without a login. It updates ball by ball, and viewers can read it but not change it.

Does cricscore handle tennis-ball, box and gully rules?

Yes. You can set any number of overs from 5 to 50, change the balls per over, adjust no-ball and boundary rules, add custom wicket types such as hit out of bounds, and play a super over to settle a tie.

What if I record a ball wrongly?

Undo it. Any ball can be reversed, including balls from earlier overs, and every correction is logged so the scorecard stays trustworthy.

Can I run a full tournament with an auction?

Yes. Pick league or knockout format and cricscore generates fixtures, keeps the points table and NRR up to date from the scorecards, and tracks the Orange and Purple Caps. A live auction room supports up to 10 teams with purse limits.

What happens if the ground has no mobile signal?

Keep scoring. cricscore works without signal and syncs the match once your phone is back online.
